I
am an artist living and working in the Ottawa Valley area
of Ontario, Canada. I have a diploma from The Ontario College
of Art, a BA in Fine Art and English Literature from The University
of Guelph and a BEd from Queen's University from the Artist
in Community Education Program. I did my Masters in Fine Art
at the University of Portsmouth in the UK. I've been lucky
enough to have lived in a number of different places including
Canada, Europe, the U.S. and the UK. I lived in New York City
for over a decade. There I was involved in the art scene in
the Lower East Side and with Rivington School - a group of
artists whose work ranged from photography and junk sculpture
to performance art. A book about this movement, that I am
featured in, was published in the fall of 2016 entitled Rivington
School, Underground Art of the 1980s. In early 2017 I received
the Cathy Acker Award for my contribution to the avante garde
arts community. I continue show my work at various venues
in the US, Canada, Europe and The UK.
